Ever wondered how Adaugeo runs an event like the SCF Forum? This video pulls back the curtain and explains what we do...
The Working Capital Forum, launched by Adaugeo Media in 2014 as a networking group for treasurers and procurement directors, is going global this Autumn with events in New York and Stockholm. The US and Swedish dates, sponsored by Basware, are the first time the Working Capital Forum has travelled outside of the UK.
In total, Basware is sponsoring three events, with the first at The Ritz in London on 19th September, the second at New York's Soho Grand (above) on 26th October and the third at the Berns hotel in Stockholm on 8th November.
The Working capital Forum now connects more than a thousand senior treasury and procurement leaders in multinational corporations. Members attend private round-table lunches, held under the Chatham House Rule to encourage open discussion between peers.
Tutors from Adaugeo Media's Transaction Banking Academy were lucky enough to spend a week at Campus BBVA in Madrid (above), delivering the sixth annual Treasury and Working Capital course for a group of BBVA team members from around the world. Above are (l-r) David Kelin, Diana Henderson and Jacco de Jong
The five-day course covered every aspect of transaction banking, including the fundamentals of regulation for transaction bankers, which was delivered as five online modules for the first time through Transaction Banking Academy's new learning portal.
The course is led by three Transaction Banking Academy tutors and includes workshops, case studies and project work based around a realistic treasury RFP from a 'virtual company' created especially for this course.
Adaugeo Media managing director Mike Hewitt (above right) joined the Financial Times and Deutsche Bank to moderate a panel and workshop session at the FT's Global Treasury Leadership Retreat. Mike spoke to Jo Hawkes, Group Treasurer at Marks and Spencer, Mark Kirkland, Group Treasurer at Constellium Group and Vandita Pant, Group Treasurer and Head of Europe at BHP Billiton, on the topic of 'The Treasurer Today'
Adaugeo Media successfully launched the first ever SCF Forum Asia in Singapore on behalf of the Supply Chain Finance Community. The original brief was to attract around 40 delegates to the launch event, hosted by the National University of Singapore. In the event, over 90 delegates registered before the venue reached capacity - a great result for the SCF Community and for sponsors Rabobank and China Systems, as the video (above) makes clear.
Adaugeo Media ran a very succesful iSCF conference in Frankfurt last week with banks, universities, fintechs and corporates gathering to work towards a connected, inclusive future for supply chain finance. Watch our video to get a flavour of the event.
Adaugeo Media is supporting Lloyds Bank with the launch of the Working Capital Index, a new six-monthly report that uses Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data compiled by Markit to calculate the pressure British businesses are under to either increase or decrease working capital.
The inaugural report is telling us that British businesses are under historically high pressure to tie up cash in working capital with £498bn of surplus working capital tied up in the British economy.
Adrian Walker, managing director, head of Global Transaction Banking, said: “By understanding the hurdles they face and how their working capital levels compare with industry norms, British businesses can use this insight to unlock the cash trapped within their business, become more efficient and realise their full potential.”
"We are delighted to assist Lloyds Bank in producing what will become an ongoing barometer of working capital pressures facing British businesses", said Mike Hewitt, Managing Director of Adaugeo Media.
"For a specialist agency in the treasury and transaction banking space like ours, this project is a great example of how a close working relationship with a forward-thinking client can deliver real results by bringing together research, content creation and event management."
The report was launched this week and will be followed by a series of our events, organised by Adaugeo Media, in Edinburgh, Manchester and London over the next two months.
The Working Capital Index report can be viewed here. For more details about attending a Working Capital index regional event, speak to your Lloyds Bank representative or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
